
Ellen (Parker) Beecroft
After earning her degree in Kinesiology otherwise known as Applied Physiology from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1999, Ellen has been practicing massage therapy with an estimated 20,001 hours of bodywork. She treats each human body individually catering to the issues and injuries that ask for attention. She has an intuitive sense of the body as well as extensive education and knowledge of the body and movement. She is passionate about many forms of movement. While she believes pushing hard and using the body is motivating, she also firmly believes that taking care of the body, mind and spirit is crucial to keeping the body in alignment and functioning well.
Ellen has worked with the Seattle Sounders as their primary massage therapist as well as with ultrarunners, triathletes, adventure racers, cyclists, Crossfit athletes, yogis, climbers, and mixed martial artists. Although she prefers working with athletes, Ellen’s work extends further from pregnancy and postpartum, hospice, pre and post surgical, cancer, mental health and the list goes on.
Ellen’s bodywork is a blend of numerous modalities that she has honed in on over the years such as but not limited to Cupping Therapy, Somassage, Deep Tissue, Graston Technique, active and passive release, injury treatment, Myofascial Release, trigger point therapy, as well as relaxation.
Ellen owned and operated Ballard Therapeutic Massage in Seattle for about 15 years and after starting her family downsized to her office in Eastlake still operating as Ballard Therapeutic Massage. Ellen stopped taking insurance in 2018 but will send along an annual receipt that can be submitted to insurance. She now operates as Puget Sound Therapeutic Massage, out of her home office in Woodinville, Washington.
